DESCRIPTION:Join the Costa Mesa Democrats for our next club event on Wednesday\, October 30 from 6:30pm – 8:00pm at the Costa Mesa Senior Center! \nWe’re excited to continue our march to March with guest speakers on staying inspired for 2020\, voter protection efforts\, and key issues in focus like public education and immigration justice. We look forward to seeing you there on the 30th! \n \n\nOCTOBER CLUB EVENT AGENDA \n6:30pm – Check-In & Socializing \n\nSign-in guests & members \nVote for Your Favorite Presidential Candidate! \n\n6:45pm – Event program begins – The ‘march to March’ \n\nMeeting opener and acknowledgment of new members \nAnnouncement of straw poll results and voter contact postcarding efforts \nIntroduction of guest speakers \n\n6:55pm – Renown organizer Sara Holland\, speaking on the 2020 election and staying inspired\, motivated & healthy. \n7:10pm – Britt Dowdy from the Newport-Mesa Federation of Teachers\, speaking on the importance of local education issues and NMFT organizing plans for the 2020 election. \n7:25pm – 2020 issues in focus: Immigration Justice with guest speaker Tim Burns\, Orange County Justice Fund board member.  \n7:40pm – Staff from local democratic campaigns speaking on getting involved \n\nGuests & members are encouraged to make commitments for the 2020 election with Harley Rouda\, Cottie Petrie-Norris and Katrina Foley to keep the blue wave rolling in 2020. \n\n7:50pm – Community announcements\, one minute for club members with news to share. \n7:55pm – Event Adjourned  \n  \nPresiding 2019-2020 Board Members: \nChair: Maxine Maly\,  Vice Chair: Manuel Chavez\,  Secretary: Cassius Rutherford\,  \nTreasurer: Jon Landis\,  Hospitality & Outreach Chair: Joni Nichols\, \nCMDC Club Representative: CL Miller \n
