SUMMARY:ELECTION DAY
DESCRIPTION:For Federal and State races (i.e.\, Congress\, Assembly\, etc.)\, the two candidates who receive the most votes advance to a run-off election\, which will be held on November 6\, 2018.\nFor County races (i.e.\, Supervisor\, District Attorney\, etc.)\, any candidate who receives more than 50% of the vote wins the contest outright.  If no candidate receives more than 50% of the vote\, then the two candidates who receive the most votes advance to a run-off election\, which will be held on November 6\, 2018.\nFor County Board of Education races\, whichever candidate receives the most votes wins outright\, even if that candidate does not receive more than 50% of the vote.  There is no run-off election in November.\nThere are also five Propositions on the ballot.\nLocal races (i.e.\, City Council\, School Board\, etc.) are not on the ballot in June; those races are decided in November.\n\nIf you vote by mail\, you can send your ballot before Election Day\, or drop it off at a polling station on Election Day.  If you prefer to vote in person\, you can find your poll location here.
