DESCRIPTION:You’re invited to join us on Wednesday\, July 29 at 6:30pm for a virtual candidates forum co-hosted with Indivisible OC48! We have some incredible candidates and incumbents that have stepped up to represent us at the local level this year\, and we want you to get to know them. It’s critical for us to support good local candidates up and down the ballot. \nWhen? Wednesday\, July 29 at 6:30pm\nWhere? bit.ly/CMDemsMeeting \nParticipating candidates on July 29 are:  \n\nKatrina Foley\, Costa Mesa Mayor for re-election\nJohn Stephens\, Mayor Pro-Tem and candidate for City Council District 1\nLeah Ersoylu\, candidate for Newport-Mesa School Board Area 1\nLoren Gameros\, candidate for City Council District 2\nJeff Harlan\, candidate for City Council District 6\, or Walid Wasfy\, candidate for Council District 6\n\nAfter our candidates forum\, CM Dems club members who have paid their membership dues and attended at least one previous meeting will have the opportunity to participate in our formal candidate support/recommendation vote. For a contested election\, a candidate must receive a 2/3rds vote to receive the club’s support. A secure online ballot will be made available to CM Dems members during our Zoom event on July 29\, open for 15 minutes of voting after the last candidate speaks. \nOur votes and our voices will be the difference this year\, and it’s more important than ever for us to spread the word online\, share content and get out the word for our Democratic candidates.
